The Student Societies of Tropical Medicine, or TropSoc, is a network of academic societies in the field of tropical disease at medical schools across the UK. The TropcSoc aims to bring experts in tropical diseases and health care professionals who have worked in the field to medical schools in order to expand students’ understanding of international health, health in the developing world, neglected diseases and how they can help the cause of health care in the tropics.
Founded at Peninsula Medical School when the Peninsula Society of Tropical Medicine began expanding to chapters around the country, the TropSoc is a new student organisation and this placeholder site will change and grow over the coming months to provide a national framework for all medical students involved in our branches across the UK and abroad.
